Objective

Student
· can define the needs of mental health and substance abuse clients/patients in nursing, plan and implement care, and assess its effectiveness
· knows how to encounter and assist clients/patients of different ages and their families and friends.
· learns about the methods of mental health and substance abuse care work, works in a care relationship and working group, and learns to use work guidance to support their professional development.
· can examine the significance of their own values and attitudes in encountering clients/patients of different ages and in professional interaction
· has understood the ethics of nursing and bases their activities on up-to-date information
· knows how to record information on the treatment of a patient in mental health and substance abuse nursing
· advances their competence in pharmacotherapy in mental health and substance abuse nursing (Medication Passport)

Content

· Planning, implementation, assessment and recording of evidence-based mental health and substance abuse care work and guidance
· Practising key functions of mental health and substance abuse nursing in accordance with the learning environment and the needs of patients/clients
· Practising a patient's clinical examination and treatment-related, empowering interaction with the patient/client
· Familiarisation with different mental health and substance abuse care methods, care relationship and learning about work groups and work guidance
· Understanding of the structure of the service system for mental health and substance abuse work
· Deepening the foundation of pharmacotherapy and mental health
