Objective

Emergency care in exceptional conditions 5 cr POIKThe student shall be able to- understand the regulations guiding the preparations for exceptional conditions- describe their own responsibility and actions and that of the members of their profession in danger situations - describe the organisation of health care in catastrophic situations - increase their readiness to work independently and on their own initiative in imaginary emergency care situations in exceptional conditions, according to personal care responsibilities and guidelines for medical care during exceptional conditions - give motivation for the choices they make in imaginary exceptional conditions morally and ethically- describe the leadership and procedure models in major accidents and exceptional conditions and know how to benefit from the authorities co-operation in treatment level emergency care situations requiring it- take into account the safety risks of the environment and know how to ensure safety of activities in accidents where the health or the lives of the accident victims, bystanders or the rescue and emergency care personnel are threatened- demonstrate their competence in emergency care nursing and situation leadership in a simulated treatment situation- increase his or her specialist skills in the medical examination and treatment of patients in different ages needing specialist emergency care nursing
