Objective
The student is able tocare for a cancer patient in a comprehensive and patient-centered manner at different phases of the cancer treatment pathway (cancer diagnosis, treatment and its implementation, palliative and end of life care, post-treatment phase) according to the treatment protocol and their own area of responsibilityconduct a comprehensive anamnesis of a cancer patient using valid evaluation methods, conduct a physical examination of a cancer patient using relevant techniques and identify normal and most common abnormal findings related to cancer, treatments and psychosocial well-being and document and consult a cancer treatment expert groupconnect cancer related information, health promotion and preventative information with the evaluation, planning and implementation process of a patient’s treatment needscritically evaluate the evidence for methods used for treating cancer and alleviating the adverse effects of cancer treatmentrecognize the significance of information produced by cross-disciplinary research in the development of cancer treatmenttake responsibility for implementation of evidence-informed treatment methodsidentify and prevent risks to patient and occupational safety caused by methods used in cancer treatment
