Objective
Students can perform in Swedish in the working environment of their field. They can communicate in a way based on working life and interaction and they can acquire and make use of information about their field; they can develop their expertise. They have a positive attitude towards learning and a realistic understanding of their language skills. They want and are able to develop those skills through independent study.
Content
The entire study unit of Swedish language is based on professional working life and its authentic communication situations.
Core skill areas:
- Education, job search, and employment: students are able to tell about themselves, their education, work experience, and work-related assignments.
- Working environment and society: students can describe their working environment and the activities in their field as a part of the larger society. Students are able to make use of the communication media in their field.
- Networking/client contacts: students are able to communicate in writing and orally, based on the client's perspective.
- Key terminology in the students' field: students recognize and can use the specific terminology in their particular field.
