Objective

Upon successful completion of the course, the student has a good practical understanding of how to represent their own country and how to collaborate when working and networking for an international organisation. The student acquires a good practical understanding of how to organize international meetings and events. Furthermore, the student has a good practical knowledge of how to chair and participate in international meetings and of the meetings documentation required, as well as the international conventions to be adhered to. The student knows the specific requirements of receiving international guests and visitors.

Contemporary international business etiquette: rules, roles, manners and conventions. Organising and participating in international meetings and events International protocol matters. Acting as a liaison officer

Qualifications

Can be completed as part of EU Careers Module or as a separate course of 5 ECTS credits.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

When the implementation type of the course is CONTACT, ONLINE or BLENDED it is required that the student is present during those teaching hours that are marked in the study schedule. If you are absent more than 25 %, your grade will be lowered by one. If you are absent more than 50 %, the course is failed. The student knows the basics required for international collaboration including meetings, events and etiquette matters on a satisfactory level.
