Objective

Objectives
• Students will learn to use their knowledge base of emergency nursing to analyse people’s need for care and learn to identify the essential information for each care situation.
• Students will learn to take responsibility, under supervision, for the systematic examination of patients (ABCDE), recognize abnormalities in the vital signs and identify life-threatening situations, as well as practice making preliminary diagnosis.
• Students will develop their skills in interacting with patients and creating a respectful nurse-patient relationship.
• Students will learn to interact professionally and engage in a care relationship with people of different ages and from different cultural backgrounds.
• Students will learn to apply the key principles of nursing and the methods of basic level emergency care for the purpose of planning and providing care to patients.
• Students will become familiar with the safe operation of examination, care and transfer devices.
• Students will learn to follow the work-pair approach.
• Students will know the CRM principles and learn how to act accordingly.
• Students will learn to provide patients and their family members with guidance for promoting health and treating illness.
• Students will know how to make ethically based decisions in various care situations.
• Students will understand their responsibility in preventing infections in emergency care and will know how to use aseptic techniques in different treatment situations.
• Students will improve their competence in basic level pharmacotherapy and can monitor the impacts and effectiveness of pharmacotherapy (medication passport) and will get acquainted with the pharmacotherapy plan of the unit.
• Students will learn to document and report on the treatment of emergency care patients.
• Students will learn to communicate professionally in care and consultation situations with the patient and the team participating in the patient’s treatment.
• Students will become proficient in basic VIRVE communication.

• Assessment of the need for care of different types of people and planning of their care employing the knowledge base of emergency care
• Systematical examination of patients (ABCDE), recognition of disorders of vital functions and conditions threatening the life of patients and making a preliminary diagnosis
• Respectful encounter with the patient and building a care relationship
• Professional interaction in a care relationship with people of different ages and from different cultural backgrounds.

HYVÄKSYTTY

ASIAKASLÄHTÖINEN, EETTINEN JA AMMATILLINEN OSAAMINEN
Pyrkii toimimaan potilaan kohtaamistilanteissa perustason ensihoitajan velvollisuuksien ja vastuun mukaisesti, ensihoidon arvoperustaa ja ammattieettisiä periaatteita noudattaen ja löytää eettisesti perusteltuja ratkaisuja erilaisissa hoitotilanteissa. Osaa kohdata asiakkaan / perheen / yhteisön jäsenen oman elämänsä aktiivisena asiantuntijana. Osaa arvioida asiakkaan voimavaroja ja tukea häntä ensihoidon aikana. Kykenee ammatilliseen ja hoidolliseen vuorovaikutukseen eri-ikäisten ja eri kulttuuritaustaisten ihmisten kanssa. Osaa arvioida omaa toimintaansa ja käsitellä tunteitaan ohjaajien ja asiantuntijatuntijoiden avustamana. Pitää salassa hoitosuhteessa saamansa luottamukselliset tiedot. Ottaa palautetta vastaan myönteisesti ja arvioi omia vahvuuksiaan ja kehittämiskohteitaan sekä muuttaa toimintaansa tarvittaessa.

NÄYTTÖÖN PERUSTUVA KLIININEN OSAAMINEN
Pystyy ottamaan ohjatusti vastuuta potilaan systemaattisesta tutkimisesta sekä tunnistaa peruselintoimintojen häiriöt ja potilaan henkeä uhkaavat tilanteet. Osaa käyttää turvallisesti keskeisimpiä potilaan tutkimus-, hoito-, siirtolaitteita. Kykenee kiireettömässä tilanteessa ohjatusti ottamaan vastuuta potilaan kokonaistilan arvioinnista, hoidon suunnittelusta ja toteutuksesta. Osaa ohjatusti soveltaa hoitotyön keskeisiä periaatteita ja ensihoidon perustasolla käytettäviä hoitomenetelmiä potilaan hoidon suunnittelussa ja toteutuksessa sekä arvioimaan oman toimintansa perusteita. Osaa toimia aseptisesti eri hoitotilanteissa infektioiden ehkäisemiseksi. Noudattaa hoito-ohjeita. Osaa ohjatusti toteuttaa perustason ensihoidon lääkehoitoa turvallisesti (lääkehoitopassi). Osaa ohjatusti seurata lääkehoidon vaikutuksia ja vaikuttavuutta. Osaa ohjatusti potilaan ensihoitovaiheen tietojen systemaattisen kirjaamisen ja raportoinnin (ISBAR) kiireettömässä tilanteessa

OPETUS JA OHJAUSOSAAMINEN
Osaa ohjatusti ohjata potilasta ja hänen läheisiään heidän yksilöllisten tarpeidensa mukaisesti. Osaa ohjatusti ohjata kuljettamatta jätettyä potilasta jatkohoitoon liittyvissä asioissa.

YHTEISTYÖOSAAM INEN SOSIAALIJA TERVEYDENHUOLL ON TOIMINTAYMPÄRI STÖISSÄ
Osaa toimia yhteistyössä ensihoitohenkilöstön ja muiden ammattiryhmien kanssa. Toimii hänelle määrättyjen tehtävien mukaisesti ja ilmoittaa, jos osaaminen ei riitä annetun tehtävän suorittamiseen. Osaa käyttää VIRVE – verkkoa ja - päätelaitteita ja hallitsee VIRVE:n puheryhmien käytön jokapäiväisissä tilanteissa sekä osaa tehdä statusilmoitukset. Osaa ohjata tuettuna asiakasta/potilasta käyttämään tarkoituksenmukaisia julkisen, yksityisen ja 3- sektorin palveluja.

HOITOTYÖN KEHITTÄMISOSAAMINEN
Osaa toimia potilasturvallisuuden periaatteiden mukaan huomioiden oman ja muun henkilökunnan turvallisuuden. Osaa ohjatusti arvioida hoitotyön laatua hoidon kaikissa vaiheissa. Ymmärtää tietoturvallisuuden merkityksen hoitoprosessissa. Osaa toimia taloudellisesti.
