· Manages the peculiarities of managing the digitalisation of services
· Manages the special features of digitalisation that enhance customer involvement
· Manages the conditions / characteristics of digital client encounters

· Virtual health promotion and health monitoring · digital client encounters
· Multidisciplinary security services such as supporting elderly people at home

Objective

After completing the course, the student is able to:
· describe the premises, requirements and prerequisites of the organisation where the development project is carried out
· implement data retrieval systematically in Finnish and international databases
· write a theoretical framework for development project · state aim(s), purpose(s), research tasks and final outcome of the development project
· define development and evaluations methodology and describe research methods used in project implementation
· write realisable proposal for development project and research proposal when required
· describe one’s own role as an expert and project manager in development project
· discuss issues related to ethics and reliability
· evaluate and anticipate risks of development project

Objective

After completing the course, the student is able to
· recognises different project types and operational environments related to them
· knows the specific features and different operators when executing a project in an operating section of Health Technology
· knows the main principles of managing a project portfolio in Health Technology environment
· knows the main principles of managing a program
· knows how to manage a complex project and operational environment
· is able to calculate and evaluate the profitability of projects as an investment target.

· Project types: investment project, development project, research project, reporting project, production project
· Fundamentals of project management, project triangle, project requirements specification, planning and implementation
· Use of a project portfolio in developing Health Technology
· Program management and complex projects
· Methods of investment calculation
· Evaluation of project profitability

· evaluate the progress of the development project in relation to the plan (eg staying on schedule, progressing towards the goal, functionality of selected research and development methods, operation of the project organization)

· A description of the progress of the development project so far, based on the structure (contents) of the final report (project progress assessment as part of the description)
· Presentation of the progress of the development project so far to the client/sponsor or in other agreed manner
