Objective

Students will learn to
- provide comprehensive and customer-oriented care to patients with national diseases in the different stages of the care path
- identify the care need of patients who use lots of health services
- monitor and assess the effectiveness of care on chronically ill patients in the long term
- evaluate the medication of a chronically ill patient and identify the related problems in order to guide the patient to further treatment (including adverse effects and drug interactions, difficulties in implementing pharmacotherapy, challenges in committing to care)
- assess the requirements of personalised pharmacotherapy and analyse factors affecting the implementation of pharmacotherapy by applying the basic pharmacological information
- work in the role of clinical expert in a multi-professional team
- compile a comprehensive case history on the patient and perform a physical examination by means of appropriate techniques
