This course is designed for Exchange Students. The course is a fun way to get to know Finnish language and Finnish everyday life. After the course students understand basic structures in the Finnish language and are able to cope in everyday situations on CEFR level A1.2.
Student will be familiar with Finnish as a language (basic features). He is able to introduce himself, ask simple questions and answer to them. The focus is in spoken language.

Tavoitteet

This course is designed for exchange students. The course is a fun way to get to know Finnish language and Finnish everyday life. After the course students understand basic structures in the Finnish language and are able to cope in everyday situations.
 
Student will be familiar with Finnish as a language (grammar, structure, basic features). S/he is able to introduce himself, able to ask simple questions and answer to them.

Material provided in the learning space Itslearning and on the lessons.
MATERIAL SHOULD BE PRINTED OR DOWNLOADED BY STUDENTS, BEFORE THE SECOND LESSON

Opetusmenetelmät

Lessons and practice in groups.
Meetings online once a week, working in the town with an app and assignments online in the learning space Itslearning.
Active participation (student must attend at least 80% of the lessons) in the classroom activities, such as speaking excercises in pairs / small groups.

Oral exam on the last week of the course + re-exam if needed

Based on Innopeda - method, learning real life communication by doing.

Lesson activities + Oral exam 20 h (10 x 90 min)
Assignments in ITSLEARNING: written/oral assignments, group works and research in internet, using the language in real life, independent studies 60 h.

Oral exam (0-5), oral assignments (accepted/failed) of which 2 assignments evaluated by grade 0-5
