Contact Days:
11.9.2018, between 9 - 16 o´clock, Lemminkäisenkatu 30 Room: Please look at calender!
This course can be completed by participating in the contact-teaching day on 11.9.2018 (9-16) and by completing individual home assignments (3-4) in Optima.
After completing this course the student:
• is able to organize and manage business relationships within a value change
• is able to negotiate and manage contracts in international context
• has collaboration and negotiating skills for demanding business settings and relationships
The core content of the course:
• Different kinds of alliances and networks, business relationships and their management
• Contract management and influencing styles in international alliances, networks and relationships
• Effects of national cultures in international alliances, networks and negotiations
During the contact teaching day we will do some group works based on the same videos and other materials, which students will study alone after the contact day when they have complete their individual home assignments. Therefore students will greatly benefit from participation during the contact-teaching day. In this way students will become familiar with the topics, videos and written materials.
Tavoitteet
This course introduces some of the communication strategies, styles and technologies essential for making networked systems reach their expected performance levels.
After completing this course the student
- is able to organize and manage business relationships within a value chain
- is able to negotiate and manage contracts in international context
- has the collaboration and negotiating skills for demanding business settings and relationships

Core contents:
- alliances and networks, business relationships and their management
- third party companies as a important part of today's supply chain
- factors affecting the decisions to outsource logistics functions
- contract management regarding international relationships

Opetusmenetelmät
During contact day, there will be lectures, videos, and group work. After contact day, there will be 3-4 individual assignments which will be returned to the return-box in Optima according to the given timeframe in Optima.
Toteutuksen valinnaiset suoritustavat
No optional methods to complete the course will be given.
Opiskelijan ajankäyttö ja kuormitus
The scope of the course is 5 credits (133hrs). The course will be completed by writing essays on specific topics given in Optima.
Arviointimenetelmät ja arvioinnin perusteet
Evaluation:
The grading system is between 0 – 5, where, 0=Rejected, 1= Passed so and so. 2=Satisfactory, 3/4= Good, 5 = Excellent
The final grade is the mean grade of the four essays.
Evaluation Targets, Timing and Methods:
The content and the quality of essays is the target of evaluation. The final grade is the mean of grades of the essays.
