Objective

After completing the course the student can:
- use quantities and units in accordance with the SI system
- solve problems consist of motion
- make graphical presentations and analyze them
- draw free-body diagram
- solve problems involved forces using Newton´s laws
- apply work and conservation of energy to solve problems
- calculate electric and magnetic forces acting on particles and the wave motion of an electro-magnetic fields in engineer’s work
- describe measurement techniques of temperature
- describe mechanisms of heat transfer
- read optical characteristics.

Teaching methods

Each class will present few topics from a theme. Each topic is explained on the white board and a practical example is solved by the treacher. After that, one or two exercises are solved by all the students. Ocassionally, students will solve the exercises for the rest of the class on the white board.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student understands well the Physics concepts, prepared the home exercises, participated in the class discussions, and performed well in the exam
