The basics of machine elements and their designs are considered:
- V belt drives
- Roller bearings
- Shaft dimensioning
- Shaft-boss connections
- Screw connections
- Gears and gearwheels
- Chain drives
- Toothed belt drives

Luennoilla käydään läpi jika viikon aiheen perusteet.
Laskutunneilla opiskelija tutkii aihetta ja tekee päätelmiään opettajan toimiessa valmentajana.
Lopputyössä ( harjoitustehtävä) opiskelija joutuu ottamaan vastuun työstään ja aikataulustaan osittain opettajan ohjauksessa
