Objective
The student can do simple design tasks in machinery, piping systems and ship automation systems and can calculate the carbon equivalents
Content
The course starts with repetition of basics of ship machinery and piping systems, prior knowledge level assessment, and self-studies. The course topics are:
- Distance learning materials of ship machinery and piping for non- shipbuilders
- Design exercises in machinery and piping systems
- Learning materials for ship automation systems
- Design exercises in ship automation systems
- Safety and environmental aspects of ship machineries
