Tavoitteet

Opintojakson suoritettuaan opiskelija osaa:

Kuvata mistä digitalisaatiossa on kysymys, miten se vaikuttaa liiketoimintaan ja mitä uusia mahdollisuuksia se voi tarjota,
Kuvata mitä massadata (Big Data), asioiden internet (Internet of Things, IOT),kaiken internet (Internet of Everything) ja muut digitalisaatioon liittyvättrendit ja käsitteet tarkoittavat, sekä mitä tietoturvahaasteita digitalisaatiosaattaa tuoda mukanaan,
Luoda innovatiivisia ehdotuksia uusiksi ratkaisuiksi hyödyntäen digitalisaatioon liittyviä teknologioita.

Oppimateriaalit

Material (videos, articles, etc) from the internet, available via the learning environments (mainly ViLLE).
All the assignments and the on-line exam are done in ViLLE.

Pedagogiset toimintatavat ja kestävä kehitys

The course provides an understanding of how digitalisation affects to us. Students work both individually and collaborate virtually in the learning environments. Students also make reports and video presentations about subjects related to digitalisation and share them with other students. Presentations are peer-reviewed.

Personal work: self-study, assignments and video preparations: ~ 130 hours
- discussions about selected videos
- writing about selected topics related to digitalisation
- exercises about key subjects related to digitalisation
- writing two reports about subjects related to digitalisation
- preparation of video presentation about one subject
- creation of innovation proposal related to digitalisation
- peer reviews
On-line exam: ~ 1 hour
TOTAL: ~ 133 hours

3 op:

Evaluation is based on:
- Assignments completed: 40%
- Exam: 20%
- Peer reviews of reports and video presentation: 30%
- Teacher's evaluation of tasks: 10% (diary summary)

3 op:
Evaluation is based on:
- Assignments completed: 30%
- Peer reviews of reports: 50%
- Teacher's evaluation of tasks: 20% (diary summary)

Student has completed less than 50% of the course assignments
OR peer reviews for assignments on average less than 60% of points.
5 op:
OR achieved less than 45% points in the exam

Arviointikriteerit, tyydyttävä (1-2)

3 op and 5 op:
Student has completed more than 50% of the assignments BUT not all the assignment steps
AND peer reviews for assignments on average less than 70% of points.

5 op:
AND achieved 45% points in the exam

Arviointikriteerit, hyvä (3-4)

3 op and 5 op:
Student has completed all the assignment steps and completed 75% of the tasks in the steps
AND peer reviews for assignments on average less than 85% of points.

5 op:
AND achieved 65% points in the exam

Arviointikriteerit, kiitettävä (5)

3 op and 5 op:
Student has completed all the assignment steps and completed 90% of the tasks in the steps
AND peer reviews for assignments on average more than 85% of points.

5 op:
AND achieved 80% points in the exam
