Objectives

After the study unit the student will be able to:
• Describe how the health-oriented approach is used as a basis for public health nursing work
• Describe the current challenges related to the health and well-being of the population and the factors behind them
• Describe the indicators of the health and well-being of the population and the importance of data in identifying the need for services and the provision of services
• Describe the overall structure of social and health services and the legislation concerning social and health services
• Retrieve information and guide people in different life stages to seek social and health services
• Recognize the importance of multiprofessional activities from the perspective of service needs
• Understand the importance of occupational and patient safety in nursing
• Describe the meaning, benefits and general fields of application of health care technology in nursing
• Describe the principles of sustainable development taking into account ecological, financial and social and cultural sustainability and the capital they generate.
