Objective
After a completed study unit the student
- knows the requirements of the different subareas of machine vision technology
- understands the role and significance of a camera, optics, and lighting engineering in the design of a machine vision system
- can explain the basics of digital image processing and knows several implementation techniques and examples of production system automation applications
- is familiar with the various identifier and RF tag techniques exploited in production automation, as well the possibilities of using said techniques
- understands the possibilities of exploiting production measurements to monitor the performance of machines and equipment.
