Objective
After taking part in this module, the student:
- knows the significance of control and regulation techniques in modern industry
- knows the properties, benefits and drawbacks of different regulation and feedback signals
- knows how to design, and scale control and regulation circuits
- knows how to apply different regulation techniques
- knows the impacts a regulation technique has on environmental performance
- knows the dynamic nature of industrial processes, and understands the role of control techniques
- can explain the use of automation and control systems in regulating processes in practical terms.
