Objective

The student is able to
• explain the impact of the constraints, symptoms and medical measures on function of the thoracic and lumbar spine and and with the functional ability of clients at different ages,
• examine and evaluate reliably the range of motion, specific muscle strength, elasticity of soft tissue, mobility of neural tissue and proprioception by using physiotherapy examination methods,
• draw up conclusions in right direction to explain the functional problems of the client on all levels of ICF,
• explain the basics of therapeutic exercise, manual therapy and instruction to promote, maintain and advance the client’s motion and participation.

Content

The main symptoms of musculo-skeletal structures, especially basics of examination and exercising thoracic and lumbar spine areas, planning, implementing and evaluating of physiotherapy process based on EBP

Assessment and measurement of range of motion of thoracic and lumbar spine by using physiotherapy methods and measurement device, increasing active range of motion, basic physiotherapy methods of active spine stability

Muscle testing and the basics of activating muscles, physiological movements, evaluation the elasticity of soft tissue, effects, indications and limitations of manual soft tissue treatment and implementation of soft tissue treatment, testing and increasing the sliding of neural tissue

Using various training environments and tools, functional training.
