Objective

BASICS OF NURSING AND SIMULATION 10 ETCS

Objectives:

Student
• is able to work professionally in a care relationship and recognise their own role as a nurse and strive to improve in it, and learn about multidisciplinary cooperation in health care.
• values the patient and is able to support them and their family members in all stages of life while taking their culture into account.
• is able to identify care needs and plan, implement and evaluate nursing in health care units.
• gains experience in recording care in accordance with the national recording model.
• can consider factors affecting patient safety and respond to an immediate need for help.
• can identify and strengthen the patient's resources.
• knows how to work aseptically and ergonomically while taking sustainable development into account.
• can identify nutritional needs and implement health-promoting nutrition for different age groups.

In simulation:
• learns to use digital and health technology devices in nursing older people
• advances their competence in nursing and pharmacotherapy and encountering clients.

• Professional interaction and care relationship
• Care process, decision-making and recording
• Patient safety, data security and ergonomics
• Methods of helping in nursing and supporting daily activities
• Monitoring the patient's condition and basic vital signs
• The need and significance of nutrients
• Diet according to nutrition recommendations at different ages
• Digital and health technology applications

During the simulations,
· you practise the clinical competence of the basics of nursing and pharmacotherapy as well as professional interaction and encountering patients.
