Objective

Internal Medicine Nursing 6 ECTS

Objectives
• Students will learn how to describe the underlying mechanisms, symptoms, examinations and medical treatment of common internal diseases
• Students will know the most common internal diseases and the treatment path of internal medicine patients
• Students will be able to identify internal medicine patients’ needs for treatment, to plan, perform and assess the treatment and to make the required evidence-based conclusions
• Students will know how to perform the common treatment and nursing methods applied in the care of an internal medicine patient by observing patient safety
• Students will understand the importance and role of a nurse in the provision of guidance and support related to self-care
• Students will know how to perform the methods required in the provision of guidance and instructions related to self-care
Objectives of preclinical training 1 ECTS SIHOP
• Students will know how to perform pharmacotherapy and fluid therapy methods commonly applied in internal medicine and how to observe and control the related effects, side effects and adverse effects

Yksilö- ja ryhmätyöskentely, käänteinen oppiminen, luento-opetus, tutoriaalityöskentely, työpajat ja luokassa tapahtuva harjoittelu, simulaatiot

Student workload

6 op = 162 tuntia opiskelijan työtä.
Tästä 1 op = prekliininen harjoittelu = 20 tuntia luokassa tapahtuvaa harjoittelua.
Muut kontaktitunnit n. 35 tuntia / opiskelija.
