Objective

The student is aware of the properties, grades, and strength classes of steel, as well as surface treatments and fire protection methods for steel structures. Additionally, the student understands the basics of manufacturing, installation, and quality assurance. The student can also grasp the fundamental principles of dimensioning steel structures for various loads and profiles, and is familiar with the design principles of simple welded and bolted connections.
