Content scheduling

the nature, functions, scope and principles of accounting
income statement and balance sheet
management accounting, budgeting, analysing

Course size: 5 ECTS
Course consist 5 separate themes
CVP & Pricing
Financial Planning
Working Capital
Capital Budgeting
Financial Analysis
Each theme consists: introduction material (videos & printed), exercises, small group meetings
Each theme is evaluated by quizz (graded 1-5)
At the end of the course is the final assignment where is tested all 5 themes (graded 1-5)

Objective

The student
- knows and understands the accounting principles governing the measurement and documenting process of business entity's events and results
- has gained practical skillsin budgeting and financial reporting
- understands the importance of financial statements in the decision-making process and in the estimation of the company's assets and performance

- financial accounting, book-keeping, income statement and balance sheet
- management accounting, budgeting

Evaluation contains three elements:
1. Exercises & Small Group Meetings: All exercises must be done and returned to Optima & Memos on group meetings returned to Optima: Grade fail/pass. Prerequisite to get evaluated!
2. Quizzs: Grade 1-5 (weight x1)
3. Final Case: Grade 1-5 (weight x3)
