Objective
- you understand the concepts of social inclusion and community, and the important role they play in people’s well-being
- you know how to promote a sense of community and the inclusion of individuals and groups through different methods
- you are able to view individuals as part of their social network and living environment and use the resources of the network for the benefit of the client
- you know how to perform advocacy in collaboration with residents and clients
- you are familiar with municipalities’ and organisations’ activities to promote health and well-being and to prevent problems related to them, and you know how to use these services
Content
- the levels of social inclusion
- the ways citizens, municipality residents, clients and social service workers can engage in advocacy
- a social pedagogical approach, social inclusion and exclusion
- participatory and collaborative methods such as art-based participatory methods and social network mapping
- regional social work and analysis

Kuvataan Itslearningissä.
Student workload
Opetus 2 op
Projektitoteutus 3 op. Se toteutetaan VINCE-hankkeessa. Ohjaavina opettajina toimivat Hanna Kirjavainen ja Riina Riihimäki.
Läsnäolo opetuksessa 100% josta 50% mahdollisuus tehdä korvaavina tehtävinä.
Evaluation methods and criteria
Opintojakson arviointi perustuu itse- ja vertaisarviointiin (hyl. / T1-K5). Arviointikriteerit on kuvattu itsearviointilomakkeessa.
