Objective

The student:

• Can meet patients individually as experts and subjects in their own lives.
• Students will know how to work in compliance with the values, principles and key regulations of nursing
• Know the key sources of reliable data and how to apply these sources in providing patients with comprehensive care
• Students will be able to interact with patients and their family members in a professional manner
• Participate in professional cooperation
• Learn how to apply the aseptic technique and how to work ergonomically in compliance with the principles of occupational and patient safety
• Know how the pharmacotherapy plan is applied in the process of performing pharmacotherapy
• Be able to assess the resources and condition of patients
• Be able to define patients’ needs for care and to make individual treatment plans
• Be able to apply common nursing assistance methods appropriately
• Students will learn how to adopt a patient-driven approach and support their resources
• Students will be able to monitor the nutrition and diets of patients and to identify any risks related to their nutrition
• Students will be able to recognize, assess and treat the pain experienced by patients
• Know how to perform pharmacotherapy according to the physician’s instructions and have the required dosage calculation skills
• Learn various modes of performing and administering pharmacotherapy
• Learn the reporting and documentation practices required in the patient’s treatment process
• Students will know how to use the medication passport in assessing their own pharmacotherapy skills
• Can operate in accordance with the principles of sustainable development in a care environment

Teaching methods

Opiskelija laatii henkilökohtaiset tavoitteet viimeistään toisen harjoitteluviikon alussa opetussuunnitelman ja harjoitteluympäristöä soveltaen. Tavoitteet ohjaavat opiskelijan oppimisprosessia.

Opiskelijalla on ohjatussa harjoittelussa harjoittelupaikan nimeämä lähiohjaaja (t).

Henkilökohtaiset tavoitteet opiskelija palauttaa ITSin Harjoittelun prosessi suunnitelma-alaustoille tutoropettajan kommentoitavaksi ja hyväksyttäväksi viimeistään toisen harjoitteluviikon alussa.

Väliarviointikeskustelusta opiskelija laatii tiiviin yhteenvedon ja palauttaa sen Itsiin.

Opiskelija täyttää harjoittelun aikana arviointilomakkeen ja aikataululomakkeen sekä palauttaa nämä allekirjoitettuna tutoropettajalle harjoittelun jälkeen.

International connections

Ohjattu harjoittelu, itsearvionti ja palautekeskustelut lähiohjaajan kanssa. Vertaistuki perehdytys- ja palautetunneilla tutoropettajan ohjaamana.

Student workload

Ohjattu harjoittelu KPEHA 6 op yhteensä 162 h, joista opiskelija voi vähentää harjoitteluympäristössä tehdyistä tunneista yhteensä 16h, kirjaten ne aikataululomakkeen yhteenvetoon:

Opiskelija antaa palautteen oppimisympäristöstä CLES T- sähköisen lomakkeen avulla, jos harjoitteluympäristössä on se käytössä.

Lääkehoidon perusteet opintojakson lääkelaskut oltava hyväksytysti suoritettuna ennen harjoittelun alkua.
