Objective

After completing the course, student will

- recall structure of electricity markets and how they work. Furthermore, student can explain operating principle of Nordic electricity markets.
- can explain how electricity prices are determined in Nordic electricity markets and the principles of balancing power markets
- identify the most essential risks related to electricity markets and recalls methods for risk management
- recalls legislation and regulation models related to electricity grids
- identifies factors influencing development of electricity markets
