Valokuvataide nyt -opintokokonaisuus pureutuu tämänhetkisen valokuvataiteen erilaisiin suuntauksiin, toimintamalleihin, esteettisiin trendeihin ja temaattisiin painopisteisiin. Kurssi tarkastelee valokuvataiteen nykyolemusta samaan aikaan kiikareilla ja mikroskoopilla. Keskustelulähtöisessä opitusmetodissa opimme ymmärtämään erilaisia valokuvallisia toiminnan muotoja taiteilijanäkökulmasta, jolloin huomion kohteena on kokemuksellinen tieto.

Objective
The student gains an understanding of different photographic practices from an artistic perspective. The focus is on experiential knowledge. Recognizing the variety of contexts and practices strengthens the students own practice.
Content
The course will survey contemporary trends and themes in art and photography and relate them to the students own practice. Under survey are different currents and working practices of contemporary photography as well as aesthetic trends and themes.
