Tavoitteet

Learning objective is to comprehend the key competence areas in residential child care work. Each learning module has own detailed learning objectives.

Course consists of three (3) learning modules, which are interlinked and capture competencies, which are seen essential to high quality professional residential child care work. Course is designed partly as a self-learning with online learning mateial and with intensive week and group working in campus. The various activities in each of the Learning Modules are designed to stimulate your thinking on child protection, to reflect on challenges in working with children and youth with special needs and your own attitude, and to impart knowledge and encourage your skill development in multiple areas.

Learning modules:
1. Building educative and therapeutic relationships
2. Transforming crises and conflicts into opportunities
3. Involving the family of origin

Sisällön jaksotus

Modules to be studied (on-line self-learning) in ERCCI learning material in ITS platform (1.8-15.9.). Instructions will be sent. Modules:

- Involving family of origin

Writing assignment (must be done and sent to teacher 17.9.)
Choose (3) most interesting topics from the ERCCI material, justify your choices
Shape the topics into learning objectives you would like to study in BIP course, what complimentary skills and knowledge you want to achieve?

Everyone will present in small groups in teams 20.09. to others their
- background (studies, work experience, other interests…)
- professional skills (methodological, practical…)
- goals for the course (learning objectives, goals for own/team performance…)

Everyone share and discuss own (based on written assignment), personal thoughts and remarks in intensive week, day 1
