Objective
The participants are able to describe basic properties of plastics and textiles and their affect to recyclability. The participants are able to recognize and describe examples of circular economy business models.
Content
In the course, the basic knowledge and properties of plastics and textile materials and how these affect to their recyclability will be covered. Circular economy business models will be presented by topical examples.

Work load: 3 x 26,7 h
Both parts, Plastics and Textiles, consist of 3 Tasks which are equal to 1,5 credits.
Content scheduling
The course will be held on-line 18.9.2023-30.11.2023.
The course covers the basics of plastics and textiles and the properties that affect to the recyclability of these materials. The business models of circular economy will be presented by topical business cases.
The students can study based on their own schedule.

Assessment methods and criteria
Students can describe basic properties of plastics and textiles and how these affect to the recyclability of these materials. Student recognises and can describe circular business models with examples. Student can critically evaluate information he/she atners and apply it in practise.
The evaluation criteria is in Itslearning.
Returned tasks are evaluated with 0-3 points. The final number is based on total points. All tasks must be returned.
