Vko 7-21 Työelämäharjoittelu 3
- Harjoittelu toteutetaan Turun AMK:n StuDental –työtoiminnassa Medisiina D:ssä yhteistyössä Varhan/Turun kaupungin Hyvinvointitoimialan suun terveydenhuollon kanssa.
- Harjoitteluun sisältyy erillisiä päiviä Turun kaupungin suun terveydenhuollon muissa yksiköissä (Med 1 ja Med 2).
- Harjoitteluun integroidaan erilaisia terveyden edistämiseen liittyviä tapahtumia ja tehtäviä. Harjoitteluun sisältyy myös omalla vastuualueella toiminen sekä osastotunneille osallistuminen. Opiskelija osallistuu mahdollisesti myös ergonomian seurantaan, analyysiin ja kehittämiseen.
- Työeläharjoitteluun 3 sisältyy myös WinHIT –asiakastietojärjestelmän opetus

Objective

Student
- are familiar with the entrepreneurial environment Studental from the point of view of the student, the client and oral health care
- are familiar with the operational principles of the Studental entrepreneurial environment from the point of view of marketing, operational planning, implementation and development
- know how to document care, how to ensure the operational readiness of the surgery and its maintenance tasks, and the use of treatment equipment and instruments
- know how to use the information management system used in oral health care/
- are familiar with the principles of client care documentation
- know how to guide and support and prepare patients for examinations
- know how to perform a cariological and periodontal health examination, how to draw up a treatment plan, implement the treatment and assess it
- on the basis of the results of oral health examination, students can consult experts and refer their clients to experts for continued examinations and care
- master safe use of radiation both in intraoral and panoramic x-ray imaging
- know how to carry out x-ray imaging, to develop and record them, and to carry out preliminary interpretation of them

- know how to collaborate with various communities within the educational and social services in connection with health promotion projects
- are able to renew instructions and practices connected with operational readiness of Studental and quality assessment

Teaching methods

Työelämäharjoittelu, pari- ja ryhmätyöskentely, itsenäinen työskentely, opettajaohjaus, vertaisohjaus

- Työelämäharjoittelu: Käytännön työelämätaitojen oppiminen, suuhygienistin vastaanottotoiminta Studentalissa, asiakkaan hoidon suunnittelu, toteuttaminen, arviointi ja kirjaaminen WinHIT –järjestelmään, vastaanoton toimintavalmiudesta huolehtiminen, työvuorotaulukon mukaan eri rooleissa toimiminen
- Pari- ja ryhmätyöskentely: Vastuualue työskentely, hh-opiskelijoiden kanssa työskentely
- Itsenäinen työskentely: Asiakastietoihin sekä muihin Studentalin dokumentteihin perehtyminen, henkilökohtaisen raportin laatiminen
- Opettajaohjaus: Opettajat toimivat ohjaajina Studentalissa, osastotunneille osallistuminen
- Vertaisohjaus: Opiskelutoverin avustaminen kliinisessä työskentelyssä tai muissa vastaanoton tehtävissä

Student workload

10 op = 270h opiskelijan työtä
- Työskentely työvuorotaulukon mukaisesti eri rooleissa ja toimipisteissä
- Vastuualuetyöskentely
- Osastotunneille osallistuminen
- Itsenäinen työskentely (sisältää asiakastietoihin sekä muihin Studentalin dokumentteihin perehtymisen ja henkilökohtaisen raportin laatimisen
- WinHIT –asiakastietojärjestelmä –osuuden suoritus

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Opintojakso on hyväksytty, kun kaikki osa-alueet on suoritettu hyväksytysti ja poissaolot korvattu (kts. edellinen kohta)

Qualifications

Opetussuunnitelman mukaisten suuhygienistikoulutuksen opintojen ja harjoittelujen aikaisempi suorittaminen.
