Opintojakson suoritettuaan opiskelija osaa:
-Soveltaa vastuullisen projektijohtamisen periaatteita
-Soveltaa kestävän projektijohtamisen työkaluja ja menetelmiä käytännössä
-Johtaa monialaista projektia kansainvälisessä projektiympäristössä
-Soveltaa tarkoituksenmukaisia työkaluja hajautetun projektiryhmän johtamisessa

OSA 1 JOHDATUS KESTÄVÄÄN KEHITYKSEEN
Materiaalit löydettävissä verkossa, osa tieteellisiä artikkeleja englannin kielellä. (ITSlearning)

OSA 2 KANSAINVÄLINEN PROJEKTITOIMINTA
Lähiopetuksessa esitettävät asiantuntija-aineistot koostuvat vapaamuotoisista materiaaleista ja luentokalvoista, jotka jaetaan opiskelijoille.
Kirjallisena oppimateriaalina käytetään Finnasta löytyvää kirjallisuutta ja aiheeseen liittyviä ajankohtaisia artikkeleita. Lukulistat ja materiaalit julkaistaan opintojakson Teams -kanavalla.

Opetusmenetelmät

PART 1 INTRODUCTION TO SUSTAINABILITY 15.1.2024-31.3.2024
Mainly self-paced, online learning in ITSlearning.
All necessary learning material is available online or can be retrieved online as the course progresses.
Working methods include independent exploration of topics and collaborative discussion (on an electronic platform, not requiring simultaneous discussion) of your own observations and learning.

PART 2 INTERNATIONAL PROJECT WORK (jointly with HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, Gilbert Silvius, April - May 2024)
Online (MS TEAMS!) mainly in international and multidisciplinary groups, group meetings on campus, visit to Utrecht
- Self-directed learning based on written material
Learning tasks:
- Pre-assignment
- Individual assignment
- International group assignment
- Referring to and giving peer feedback on learning tasks returned by other students
- Responding to and discussing queries related to the learning tasks as appropriate
- Face-to-face meetings (classroom or virtual):
- Exercise debriefing
- Working on and presenting group assignments
- Workshop-style work in class
- Expert lectures and visits
- Self-assessment

The course includes a travel to Utrecht (self-financed)

Pedagogiset toimintatavat ja kestävä kehitys

The course will follow the guidelines of innovation pedagogy.
The course is divided into two parts:

PART 1 INTRODUCTION TO SUSTAINABILITY
Mainly independent, self-paced studying in ITSlearning. The section will end with a collaborative discussion (on an electronic platform, does not require simultaneous discussion) on the findings and learning.
The language of instruction is English.

PART 2 INTERNATIONAL PROJECT WORK
The course is run jointly with HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, Gilbert Silvius & students)
The language of instruction is English.
The learning environment is MS Teams.
An orientation task is used to prepare for the face-to-face training.

Part of the face-to-face teaching is teacher-led and teacher-guided discussion. The purpose of this part is to maximise the shared knowledge and understanding of the issues discussed between the group of students, the teachers and any expert guests.

The pedagogical model for the group task is problem-based learning. Students will work in international small groups and each group will critically examine real-life work projects in the light of the topics covered in the course. The group work will be finalised in a joint meeting, which will also reflect on the learning as a group.

The individual assignment will be a comprehensive written work related to the themes of the course.

The course will be implemented as a blended learning course with 135 h of student work.

Arviointimenetelmät ja arvioinnin perusteet

PART 1
assessment based on active participation in the PART 1 collaborative discussion that also show analytical and problem-oriented approach to the subject matter. The assessment scale is pass/fail.

PART 2
Assessment is based on the evaluation of documents and presentations related to individual and group activities. The assessment scale for the assignments is H-5.

In general, the assessment will pay attention to the following issues:
- The content and scope of the assignment are in line with the assignment layout.
- clarity of expression and structuring of the task
- Analytical and problem-oriented approach to the subject matter
- Reliability and validity of the methods presented are justified (including from a theoretical point of view)
- The subject matter is correct and sufficiently broad
- The text conveys a personal understanding of the issues
- The task provides a clear overview of the subject

The assessment criteria for individual assignments are described in more detail in the ITSLearning learning environment and/or on the course Teams channel for each assignment. The pre-task will not be assessed.

OSA 2: Tehtävä on tehty tehtävänannon mukaisen tuotoksen, mutta tuotos on jäänyt sisällöltään vaatimattomaksi ja laajuudeltaan suppeaksi.

PART 2: The individual/group has mastered the key content of the course and the source material and has been able to use them in the preparation of the work. The assignment has been completed in accordance with the terms of reference and the returned document is of good content and scope.

OSA 2: Yksilö/ryhmä on omaksunut opintojakson ja lähdeaineiston keskeisen sisällön ja osannut hyödyntää näitä työn laatimisessa. Tehtävä on tehty tehtävänannon mukaisesti ja palautettu dokumentti on sisällöltään ja laajuudeltaan hyvä.

PART 1 is APPROVED
PART 2:The individual/group has an excellent understanding of the course content and the source material and has been able to use them effectively in their work. The individual/group has actively sought information, new solutions and perspectives. The document returned from the assignment is of excellent quality and scope. The returned document demonstrates a deep understanding of the source material and the ability to apply the lessons learned in a meaningful way.

OSA1 on HYVÄKSYTTY
OSA 2:Yksilö/ryhmä on omaksunut erinomaisesti opintojakson sekä lähdeaineiston sisällön ja osannut hyödyntää näitä työssään tehokkaasti. Yksilö/ryhmä on etsinyt aktiivisesti informaatiota, uusia ratkaisuja ja näkökulmia. Tehtävästä palautettu dokumentti on laadultaan ja laajuudeltaan erinomainen. Palautettu dokumentti osoittaa syvää perehtymistä lähdeaineistoihin sekä kykyä soveltaa näistä ammennettuja oppeja tarkoituksenmukaisella tavalla.
