Objective

The course introduces Finnish working life and culture as well as future competences. The student learns about working life, companies and organizations in the region. The student learns to identify existing networks and expand them. After the course, the student can identify their own strengths and use them in job search. The student is also familiar with the job search in Finland and the writing of application documents (CV, job application, LinkedIn).

Teaching methods

Studying takes place in itslearning online environment. Students work independently and by conversating in ItsLearning.

The course does not have an exam, but the performances consist of essays, reflection tasks and shorter assignments.

Passed:
The approved performance requires the given tasks are approved and returned on time.

Failed:
The terms above are not fulfilled.

Content scheduling

The course is conducted independently through Itslearning. For each section, the student must complete the assigned tasks based on the given materials. The student's own views are emphasized in the tasks. The tasks cannot be performed acceptably by referencing the given materials (or utilizing artificial intelligence), but a personal view of the given themes is also required. The course is completed independently, but each section's assignment has a dead line, after which the assignments are evaluated. The student receives written feedback from the teacher on their assignments.
