Sisällön jaksotus

The course is an online course in Itslearning.
It begins on the 3th of september at 9-10 o´clock and ends on the 3.12.24
It is a mosty automated course with no face to face teaching.
It consists of eight parts: Geography, Blue Bio economy, Oceanography, Ecosystem, Eutrophication, Marine litter and Hazardous substances and Organisations.

Introduction to the course is on the 3.9. on the afternoon with Zoom.
There is also a compulsory online discussion on the 19.11. or 26.11 with Zoom.

Tavoitteet

The student knows the basic characteristics of the Baltic sea and has a basic understanding of the environmental problems and their solutions.

Opetusmenetelmät

Independent learning, the student gets points from the tasks and quizzes. There is a timetable for the course and each part has to be done by its deadline. There is one compulsory online discussion on the 19.11. or 26.11.

No final exam, the assessment is based on assignments and is explained in the itslearning platform.

The course introduces different sustainability views of the Baltic Sea.
Protection of the Baltic Sea demands international co-operation, of which we learn.
Course also adresses socioeconomic topics.

Arviointimenetelmät ja arvioinnin perusteet

You earn points from the quizzes and assignments in each section. The maximum score is 180 points. If you miss a do not pass the quiz before dead-line, you will get 0 points from that quiz. However, it is still possible to pass the course if you earn enough points from other assignments.
To pass the course, you will need a minimum of 90 points. All assignments need to be completed by the DL to get the points. The group discussion and the pretask for that and the mind map are compulsory tasks.

Grading: 90-107 points = 1, 108-125 points = 2, 126-143 = 3, 144-161 = 4, 162-180 = 5

Hylätty (0)

A student gets under 90 points from the assignments or has not attended to the compulsory discussion and the mind map-task.

Arviointikriteerit, tyydyttävä (1-2)

The student gets 90-125 points from the course assignments, attends actively to the discussion and mindmap work and has returned the pretask for the discussion.

Arviointikriteerit, hyvä (3-4)

The students gets 126-161 points form the assignments + attends actively to the discussion and mindmap work and has returned the pretask for the discussion.

Arviointikriteerit, kiitettävä (5)

The students gets over 161 points form the assignments + attends actively to the discussion and mindmap work and has returned the pretask for the discussion.
