Content scheduling
The course is an online course in Itslearning.
It begins on the 3th of september at 9-10 o´clock and ends on the 3.12.24
It is a mosty automated course with no face to face teaching.
It consists of eight parts: Geography, Blue Bio economy, Oceanography, Ecosystem, Eutrophication, Marine litter and Hazardous substances and Organisations.
Introduction to the course is on the 3.9. on the afternoon with Zoom.
There is also a compulsory online discussion on the 19.11. or 26.11 with Zoom.
Objective
The student knows the basic characteristics of the Baltic sea and has a basic understanding of the environmental problems and their solutions.

Teaching methods
Independent learning, the student gets points from the tasks and quizzes. There is a timetable for the course and each part has to be done by its deadline. There is one compulsory online discussion on the 19.11. or 26.11.
Exam schedules
No final exam, the assessment is based on assignments and is explained in the itslearning platform.
International connections
The course introduces different sustainability views of the Baltic Sea.
Protection of the Baltic Sea demands international co-operation, of which we learn.
Course also adresses socioeconomic topics.
