Objective

Objective of the course is to become familiar with the structure and operation of process control applications as well as basics of instrumentation engineering. After completing the course, student
- knows the concepts, basic configurations and components of instrumentation and control engineering
- is familiar with the most common measurement technologies
- knows the importance of performance and quality in industrial measurements
- is familiar with the most common controllers and control algorithms
- can design, build and tune control system as well as estimate its performance
- know the features of the most common industrial processes from control viewpoint
