Objective
After taking part in this module, the student:
- Knows the requirements of district heating system maintenence
- Understands the basics behindthe maintainance of HVAC in the scale of single households
- Understands the impotance of documentation of maintenance systems and maintenance
- Understands the requirements of intelligent HVAC
Materials
Its- Learning material
Lecture material
SFS 55
Other suitable maintenance-related material for every use.
When dealing with current topics, material other than the above may also be used and it will be announced separately in the relevant lesson.
Visiting Lecturer from industry
Teaching methods
Lectures during which an understanding of the engineer's role in the implementation of maintenance is built.
Seminar work / Group work, where the group gets to know the implementation model of maintenance in a certain environment. The seminar work is presented to the rest of the class.
Exercises/tasks related to the topic according to the respective subject area.
Exam schedules
Exam in the last lesson 09.12.2024
Re-take examinations according instructions of Faculty of EE-technology
The student has the right to repeat the exam according to the school's instructions
Re-take examinations for this course are held:
- 14.01.2025
- 04.02.2025
International connections
In the course, competence grows by getting to know a topic that is important in terms of the load on the environment. With the ability to evaluate the technical-economical-environmental perspective, you aim for rational solutions that are justified in working life.
The lectures of the course are supplemented with group work and tasks to be done independently and in groups, which deepen the topic of the lecture material.
Completion alternatives
Equivalent third-level education acquired elsewhere, which is requested according to Turkuamk's instructions at the student's initiative.
Student workload
5 credits correspond to a load of approximately 135 hours of student work.
Content scheduling
After course the student::
- understands the fundamentals of maintenance and reliability, and their economical importance to the companies
- can apply technics and design process for maintenance and reliability
- can recognize different data systems concerning maintenance and reliability
- knows the principle of ongoing improving.
- Terms of maintenance
- Importance of maintenance to the company
- Strategies and design principlesof maintenance
