After completing the course, the students will be able to:

- familiarize oneself with creative ideation methods and recognizing ideas
- develope a creative idea into a presentable and viable concept
- produce and create user-oriented product and service concepts in creative industries
- test a concept with stakeholders
- describe the process of concept design
- apply user-oriented methods in concept design in appropriate way

Objective

After competing the course, the student is able to:

orient oneself to creative brainstorming methods and recognizing of ideas
develop a creative idea into a presentable and feasible concept
design used-oriented product and service concepts in creative fields
test concepts with stakeholders
describe the process of concept planning
apply user-oriented methods in concept design in a meaningful way

Evaluation methods and criteria

Passing the course requires the return of all learning assignments. Assessment is based on the learning tasks. The assessment includes:
a) student work corresponds to the assignment given
b) thoroughness and depth of the assignment
c) use of the required source material
d) analytical reflection and justification of solutions/ideas

Opiskelija ei ole palauttanut kaikkia tehtäviä. Palautetut tehtävät ovat ylimalkaisia ja/tai eivät vastaa pääosaan tehtävänannossa pyydetyistä asioista.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

Kaikkien tehtävien suorittaminen hyväksytysti.
Oppimistehtävät on tehty tehtävänannon mukaisen tuotoksen, mutta tuotos on jäänyt sisällöltään vaatimattomaksi ja laajuudeltaan suppeaksi.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

Yksilö/ryhmä on omaksunut opintojakson ja lähdeaineiston keskeisen sisällön ja osannut hyödyntää näitä oppimistehtävien laatimisessa. Tehtävät on tehty tehtävänannon mukaisesti ja palautettu dokumentti on sisällöltään ja laajuudeltaan hyvä.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Yksilö/ryhmä on omaksunut erinomaisesti opintojakson sekä lähdeaineiston sisällön ja osannut hyödyntää näitä työssään tehokkaasti. Yksilö/ryhmä on etsinyt aktiivisesti informaatiota, uusia ratkaisuja ja näkökulmia. Oppimistehtävistä palautetut dokumentit ovat laadultaan ja laajuudeltaan erinomaisia. Ne osoittavat syvää perehtymistä lähdeaineistoihin sekä kykyä soveltaa näistä ammennettuja oppeja tarkoituksenmukaisella tavalla.
