Content scheduling

The course is implemented mainly as independent online studies by completing assignments, familiarising oneself with materials and taking an exam. In addition, there will be onsite teaching events.
IT's platform includes related tasks of varying sizes and materials for working on or solving them.

• you are familiar with central concepts in research, development and innovation
• you are able to solve problems innovatively and carry out networked operations in the development of social and related services
• you know how to develop the methods, work practices and service processes of client work in collaboration with other operators
• you are able to design, implement and evaluate development projects and apply research and development methods to the development of work practices
• you are able to comply with research and development ethics principles and guidelines
• you are able to evaluate the reliability and benefits of research and development

2. Introduction to the qualitative research approach (implemented as learning assignments and reporting)
3. Introduction to the quantitative research approach (implemented through learning assignments and reporting)
4. Introduction to research, development and innovation skills (implemented through learning assignments and reporting)
5. Ethical starting points and guidelines for research and development activities (Finnish National Board on Research Integrity's guidelines for higher education institutions).

To successfully complete the course module, you must:

Successfully complete ALL tasks under the themes.
Complete the reflection task.
The course will be graded numerically on a scale of 0-5. The grade will be determined based on the exam score.

You have not successfully completed all the course tasks and/or passed the exam.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

You have successfully completed all the course tasks and received a grade of 1-2 on the exam.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

You have successfully completed all the course tasks and received a grade of 3-4 on the exam.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

You have successfully completed all the course tasks and received a grade of 5 on the exam.
