Opintojakson suoritettuaan opiskelija osaa
- tunnistaa erilaiset haavat ja soveltaa niiden keskeiset hoitoperiaatteet potilaskohtaiseen hoitoon.
- analysoida ja arvioida haavan syntyyn vaikuttavia tekijöitä potilaan ja hoitoyhteisön näkökulmasta sekä osaa ennaltaehkäistä kroonisen haavan syntymistä
- tehdä oman ammattinsa edustajana päätöksiä haavapotilaan hoidosta itsenäisesti ja moniammatillisessa yhteistyössä erilaisissa hoitoympäristöissä
- toteuttaa potilaslähtöistä haavahoitoa perustellen sen näyttöön perustuvalla tiedolla ja arvioida vallitsevia hoitokäytäntöjä eettisesti kestävällä tavalla

ASIAKOKONAISUUDET:
- Orientoituminen haavahoidon opintoihin ja oppimisympäristöihin; henkilökohtainen opintosuunnitelma, verkko-oppiminen, verkko-oppimisympäristöt.
- Kroonisten haavojen ehkäisy; painehaavan, laskimo- ja valtimoperäisen säärihaavan, riskitekijöiden arviointi, tunnistaminen ja ehkäisytoimenpiteet.
- Diabeetikon jalka ongelmien tunnistaminen ja ehkäisy.
- Haavahoidon suunnittelu, toteutus ja arviointi: etiologialtaan erilaiset haavat ja niiden hoidon periaatteet, haavan paikallishoitotuotteet ja laitteet, haavakivun arviointi ja hoito.
- Paikallishoidon vaikuttavuuden arviointi; eettinen päätöksenteko ja moniammatillinen yhteistyö osana haavahoitoa, haavojen ennaltaehkäisy, haavahoidon aseptiikka ja haavainfektioiden ennaltaehkäisy ja hoito.

Objective

After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- identify different types of wounds and apply their key treatment principles to patient-specific care.
- to analyse and evaluate factors influencing the development of a wound from the perspective of the patient and the care community, and to be able to prevent the development of a chronic wound
- make decisions on the care of the wound patient independently and in multidisciplinary co-operation in various treatment settings as a representative of his/her own profession
- implements patient-oriented wound care based on evidence-based information and evaluates existing treatment practices in an ethically sustainable manner

Content

Topics:
Orientation to wound care studies and learning environments; personal study plan, online learning, online learning environments.
Prevention of chronic wounds; assessment, identification and prevention of pressure ulcers, venous and arterial leg ulcers, risk factors. Identifying and Preventing Diabetic Foot Problems.
Planning, implementation and evaluation of wound care; etiology of different wounds and the principles of their care, local wound care products and medical devices, evaluation and treatment of wound pain.
Evaluation of the effectiveness of local care; ethical decision-making and multiprofessional cooperation as part of wound care, wound prevention, aseptics of wound care and prevention and treatment of wound infections.
