Objective

The student
- can develop their study skills.
- can identify their own interests and set goals for their studies.
- can understand the study environment and the local art scene.
- has basic knowledge of the education on offer and information acquisition within the program.
- develop and constructively evaluate their process of artistic work.

Content

The course introduces students to the facilities and practices of Fine Arts education, as well as to the artist-teachers, staff and fellow students. Students will also gain a basic knowledge of the educational offerings, electronic systems, information retrieval and other student services. The course introduces students to different ways of working and thinking artistically, both in groups and independently. In addition, students will learn about current phenomena in learning environments and the local arts scene.

Teaching methods

Group work, individual assignments, lectures, discussions, varied instruction within specializations (photography, fine arts, animation).

International connections

Working methods and materials are chosen with respect for the environment and resources.

Introduction to Fine Arts Studies
August 26 - September 27, 2024
This course introduces students to the facilities and practices of fine arts education, as well as to the artist-teachers, staff, and fellow students. Students will also receive basic information about the course offerings, electronic systems, information retrieval, and other student services. The course includes an exploration of various approaches to artistic work and thinking, both in groups and through independent study. Additionally, students will become familiar with current phenomena in learning environments and the local art scene.

September 10 - 25: Students will work within their respective specializations as specified.

Final review day: September 26 at 3:00 PM in the Image Theater.

Attendance is mandatory for the entire course, and assessment is specific to each professional subject.
