Objective
The course deals with different electric motor drives, their selection and dimensioning. After completing the course, the student:
- Recalls the structures of industrial electrical systems
- Can classify the converter types used for controlling electric motors as well as explain their features
- Can explain the structure of electrical drives and their integration into automation systems
- Can select and make dimensioning of electric drive for different applications
- Can design a motor feeder
Content
1. Applications of electric drives in industry, industrial electrical systems
2. Converters used for electric motor control
3. Selection and dimensioning of converter
4. Motor feeder devices
5. Design of motor feeder
6. Connection of electric drive to automation system
7. Electric drive control
Materials
