Objective

Objective of the course is to become familiar with the communication used in industrial automation systems. After completing the course, student will:
- know general communication hierarchy and technologies used in industrial automation systems as well as importance of information flow
- understand how field bus is used in automation systems and can utilize the most common field bus technologies
- know the most common software interfaces used in automation systems
- be able to make configuration for field bus and add new devices
- be able to create control software utilizing field bus communication
