Objective
The student understands the loads on structures at sea, and can design the midship section, bulkheads, frames, and shell thicknesses according to classification society rules.
Content
In the Ship Structures- course, the focus is in calculation and design exercises of loads on ship structures at sea, and scantling design of hull parts, such as frames, bulkheads and hull shell plating.
Materials
Some slides and examples are available on on the ItsLearning and most rules of classification societies are available on the internet.
