Objective
The student masters simple load situations and dimensioning principles. S/he is familiar with statically determined structures and the stresses affecting them and understands the importance of load-bearing and stiffening structures and structural elements for the stability of a building as well as other factors affecting stability. S/he can arrange temporary support for structures which risk collapse or deformation during construction. S/he understands the impact of the wind during installation.
