Objective

After completing the course, the students will be able to

• Analyse and select creative ideas to be developed into concepts
• Compare and select the different goals, methods and processes of concept design.
• Create concepts for selected purposes
• Evaluate the objectives and methods in creating concepts
• Communicate about the concept design process, plans and outcomes to relevant stakeholders

• Concept planning elements and process
• Idea initialisation, concept design process, concept building with different types of tools
• Concept communication and presentation
• Benchmarking and framework analysis

Teaching methods

The study unit is both theoretical and practical, we will study the theoretical background and practically design concept connected to Varvintori area, by Linnankatu campus.
