• Yleisimmät laboratoriotutkimukset (veri- ja virtsatutkimukset)
• Potilaan esivalmistelu ja sen merkitys
• Potilaan ohjaus näytteenotossa
• Näytteenoton vakiointi ja laadunhallinta
• Vena- ja ihopistosnäytteenotto
• Virtsanäytteenotto ja virtsan kemiallinen seulonta
• Näytteenoton komplikaatiot
• Näytteen säilytys ja kuljetus
• Vieritestit ja vieritestilaitteiden laadunhallinta
• Hoitotyön rooli tutkimusten toteuttamisessa

Teoria toteutuu kokonaisuudessa Itslearning-alustalla verkko-opintoina. Opintojakso integroituu bioanalytyytikkokoulutuksen projektiosaamisen kokonaisuuteen ja näitä opintoja toteuttavat opiskelijat vastaavat osittain myös teoreettisesta sisällöstä.
Toteutukseen sisältyy laboraatioharjoitus MedisiinaD:n bioanalytiikan tiloissa (2.krs). Laboraatiossa 100% läsnäolovelvollisuus.
Laboraatioihin tullaan pienryhmittäin (merkattu lukujärjestyksiin)

Opettaja lähettää teoria osuuteen liittyvän infon ja ohjeet opiskelijoille sähköpostilla.

Objective

Students will
• Know how to advise patients in preparing for examinations and after the examination
• Become familiar with the most common laboratory tests and know how to describe their significance
• Know how to collect high-quality specimens and analyse them
• Become familiar with the most common clinical physiology examinations of internal medicine patients and the related role of nursing

• The most common laboratory tests (blood and urine tests)
• Preparation of patients and the importance thereof
• Patient guidance during specimen collection
• Standardization and quality management of specimen collection
• Collection of venous and skin puncture specimens
• Collection of urine specimens and chemical screening of urine
• Complications in specimen collection
• Storage and transportation of specimens
• Point-of-care testing and the quality management of point-of-care instruments
• Guidance of patients and preparation for examinations
• The most common clinical physiology examinations (e.g. ECG recording)
• The role of nursing in performing examinations and tests

Evaluation methods and criteria

Hyväksytty:
100% läsnäolo lähiopetuksessa, opiskelijan aktiivisuus lähipäivässä ja tehtävät suoritettu hyväksytysti aikataulussa.

Hylätty:
Opiskelija ei osallistu lähipäivään ja jättää tehtävät tekemättä. Laboraatiot/tehtävät tulee olla suoritettu/palautettu määräajassa saman lukukauden aikana tai opiskelijan tulee suorittaa koko kokonaisuus uudestaan toisen ryhmän mukana.
