Kurssien (Digitaalinen työskentely ja Studio ja valaisu) aikana tehdään lyhyitä luonnosmaisia harjoitustöitä, joilla tutkitaan sekä teoreettisesti että käytännön tasolla millaisia mahdollisuuksia kurssien aiheet avaavat kunkin taiteellisessa työskentelyssä.

Kurssien aikana (8 viikkoa) jokainen opiskelija tekee oman taiteellisen projektin annetun rajauksen suuntaviivoja noudatellen. Otamme lähtökohdaksi käsitteen ”Alue”. Jokainen määrittelee itselleen alueen, jolle taiteellinen työskentely sijoittuu. Alue voi olla abstrakti tai konkreettinen, mutta sen tulee olla selkeästi määriteltävissä. Tästä tarkemmin, kun aloitamme kevään kurssit.

Objective

Student will
- understand the importance and the possibilities of using light in photography.
- master the basics of studio work and professional photography in the studio space.
- be familiar with the concept of the constructed image in the context of contemporary art.
- develop their own artistic work and expression through photography.
- identify the ethical and ecological aspects of the constructed image.

Content

The course introduces the basics of the use of light in different shooting situations, the fundamentals of studio work, the concept of the constructed image in the context of contemporary art and different genres of photography relevant to the use of light and studio work. During the course, students will be encouraged to explore and develop their own artistic work in the studio environment and in the context of the built image. During the course, students will carry out their own artistic project within the framework of the course content.
