Content scheduling
The First Aid and Aseptic Techniques course is conducted through online teaching and workshop teaching.
Independent study: Learning path assignments and online lectures on the It's Learning platform on the following topics:
1. Actions in an emergency
2. First aid for an unconscious person
3. Cardiac arrest and resuscitation
4. Airway obstruction
5. Shock and stopping external bleeding
6. Medical emergencies 1: Chest pain, breathing difficulties, anaphylaxis
7. Medical emergencies 2: Stroke, seizure, fainting, blood sugar disorders
8. Burns
9. Wounds
10. Poisoning
11. Aseptic techniques
Workshop practice: The topics covered in the online studies are reviewed in first aid stations conducted as workshop teaching.

Completion alternatives
Up-to-date first aid training has been completed, the content of which corresponds to the content of the implementation. A certificate of first aid training must be provided.

Learning assignments and student work load:

• 6h first aid practice in class
• Independent study, assignments and online lectures 21h
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
PASS: The student has participated in mandatory contact teaching and completed independent assignments.
FAIL: The student has not participated in contact study days, and has not completed the assigned tasks within the specified time.
