Objective
After completing the course, the student can:
- use SI – units in calculations and do unit conversions
- analyze different graphical presentations
- use vectors to describe motion and forces
- solve the distance, speed and acceleration of an object in a practical situation and make a graph of the situation as a function of time
- draw a free body diagram of a practical situation
- form an equation of motion according to Newton´s laws from a free body diagram and apply it to a practical situation
- define the following concepts and make calculations related to them: speed, acceleration, force, friction, work, energy, power, rotational frequency
- identify the connection between circular and straightforward motion
