Tavoitteet

Supply chain risks have increased due to many factors. Globalisation has lengthened supply chains, outsourcing has become more common, the number of suppliers has decreased due to closer cooperation, and requirements for on-time deliveries and small intermediate storage facilities have tightened.

Disruptions caused by natural disasters, geopolitical conflicts or unforeseen events can also have a serious impact on supply chains, causing significant financial and reputational damage to businesses. Good supply chain management means being able to respond quickly to operational disruptions and having a flexible contingency plan in place. But to be truly resilient, a supply chain must be able to forecast and anticipate disruptions, and, in many cases, avoid them altogether.

Students are able to
- identify and predict potential vulnerabilities in supply chains
- describe the factors influencing supply chain flexibility
- evaluate means and strategies to manage supply chain risks

- interdependencies between different parts of the supply chain
- identification, assessment and management of risks in the supply chain
- geopolitical risks, climate change, pandemics and cybersecurity risks
- procurement and transport aspect
- national security of supply.

Presentation material (guide) was prepared, but it contained a little bit information.
Uncertain presentation, no own opinions.
The presentation was read directly from the paper.
The presentation time is not according to the given instructions.
Possible sources used (online/book, etc.) added as source notes in the text and in the reference list at the end of the presentation. No direct quotes from the internet, books, artificial intelligence sources, etc.
Questions/comments from the presentation will be accepted and answered appropriately.
Group assignment report returned on time according to the instructions given.
If group assignment presentation missing, grade is 1.

Group assignment report returned on time according to the instructions given.
Questions/comments from the presentation will be accepted and answered in a factual manner.

Group assignment assessment criteria grade 5:
Presentation material (guide) clear and consistent. Clearly written, using text, images, figures and tables.
Any sources used (internet/book, etc.) added as source notes in the text and in the reference list at the end of the presentation. No direct quotes from the internet, books, AI sources, etc.
The presentation includes your own opinions, good comments and insights. A natural group presentation, from all group members.
Presentation time and presentation material according to the instructions given.
Questions/comments about the presentation are accepted and answered appropriately.
Group assignment report returned on time according to the instructions given.

We meet every week for lectures.
The course uses the it´s Learning platform
At the first lecture, students are asked for permission to be included in the course lecture attendance list.
The student must take their own notes during the lectures.
