The course content covers the following themes:
- EU Taxonomy for Green Hydrogen
- Electricity and Water Supply for Electrolyzers
- Electrolyzer Technologies (AEL, AEM, PEM, SOEC)
- Electrolyzer Operation and Optimization
- Utilization of Hydrogen and Its Derivatives
Objective
After completing the course, student will
- know different hydrogen production technologies and can explain their pros and cons
- can describe main components of hydrogen production facilities, Balance of Plant (BoP)
- understand aspects of water an power supply to the electrolyzer
- understand role of hydrogen in energy system and development trends related to it
Content
The course content covers the following themes:

- Electrolyzer Technologies (AEL, AEM, PEM, SOEC)
- Electrolyzer Operation and Optimization
- Utilization of Hydrogen and Its Derivatives

Lecture materials and additional materials specified by the teacher.
Teaching methods
The course is based on lectures as well as individual and group assignments.
Exam schedules
The exam takes place at the end of the course, followed by two general retake opportunities.
Student workload
During the course, students will complete a more extensive project work in groups as a course assignment. The total workload for the student is 135 hours, including 30 hours of contact teaching.
